World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument
Highlighting an important landmark of World War II, the World War II Valor in the Pacific Monument can be found off the southwest coast of Alaska scattered across the Aleutian Islands, deep into the Pacific Ocean.
The monument preserves the remains of battlefields, a Japanese occupation site, and the crash site of a B-24 bomber. All sites are located on Attu, Kiska, and Atka Islands, respectively, and are only reachable by boat.
