WWII Valor in the Pacific National Park
During your visit to Honolulu, carve out some time to see The Valor in the Pacific National Monument at Pearl Harbor. This breathtaking National Monument floats above the USS Arizona, commemorating and protecting the sunken vessel. More than two million people every year take the boat ride out to this monument to catch a glimpse of the battleship through the glass bottom of this architectural marvel.
Once arriving at Pearl Harbor, take a tour through the visitor’s center where you can see an abundance of WWII exhibits as it pertains to the attack on that dreadful day. Don’t miss the stunning galleries such as the “Road to War” and “Attack”, where you will find lots of personal memorabilia, and photographs. The theatre includes a 23-minute documentary film depicting the attacks on December 7, 1941.
After exploring the grounds, hop on the boat for a short ride out to the USS Arizona Memorial. Here you can take a self-guided tour of the three parts - the Entry, Assembly, and Shrine Rooms.
