The Evergreen State’s Best Motorcycle Trails

The state of Washington has much to see – from the scenery of the Cascades and National Parks to the charm of small-town WA. What better way to explore these Evergreen State sites than by motorcycle. Remember, any of these rides may be reversed or modified for your convenience.

For some time in Washington’s Cascades, enjoy the ride from Bellevue to Omak along U.S. Highway 2 – or vice versa if you’re coming from Canada. Take in the scenic Wenatchee National Forest as you pass by Monroe, Leavenworth, and Wenatchee – featuring quirky stops like the Bavarian Village, Ohme Gardens, and the It's 5 Artisan Distillery.

Ever seen a volcano? Check off two in one day on your adventure from Mount St. Helens Volcanic Monument to Mount Rainier National Park. Two of Washington’s many stratovolcanoes, these national park sites include everything from historic visitor centers to attractions like the Johnston Ridge Observatory and the 93-mile Wonderland Trail.

You’ve no doubt heard tell of Washington’s Tri-City area – comprised of Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick. Sure, you could explore area wineries and outdoor recreation, but you could also use it as a starting point for a ride through south-central Washington.

Enjoy a loop trail leading riders to Moses Lake and Ellensburg – and finish the loop by passing through Yakima, Sunnyside, and Prosser before ending in the Tri-Cities.

Western Washington can hog a visitors attention thanks to Seattle and the Puget Sound, but eastern Evergreen State is not without its charm. See for yourself on the scenic ride from Spokane to spots like Colfax, Clarkston, and historic Dayton – set in Lewis & Clark country.

Whether looking for a short ride, or an all day adventure, plenty of Rider Friendly Best Western hotels and motorcycle dealerships are found along your two-wheel adventure through Washington.
