East Evergreen State Golf Courses
The next time your Washington travels take you to Spokane, be sure to explore some of these top area golf courses. Eastern Washington features some of the best views, fairways, and greens in the entire state.
The 18-hole Indian Canyon Golf Course is an always challenging, but affordable course choice. At 6,255 yards from the championship tees, the Indian Canyon Golf Course features unique and deceptive hills – be sure to carry an extra sleeve of balls in your bag.
Your visit to Spokane or nearby Liberty Lake should be met with a few rounds played at Indian Canyon.
South of Spokane in Colfax, check out the nine-hole Colfax Golf Course – another example of the charm and ease of executive style golf. Head in from Ritzville and experience the challenge for yourself. You can join the Colfax Golf Club for exclusive deals, or book as you go as it is open to the public.
Be sure to check out Clarkston and the 18-hole Clarkston Golf & Country Club. While the course is typically reserved for members, public play is offered throughout January and February. This Clarkston golf course has hosted the 2010 PNGA Women's Amateur & Mid-Amateur Tournaments and the Pac-10 Golf Championships. The course is about 5,400 yards from the ladies tee box, and nearly 6,700 from the championship tee box.
Your southeastern Washington visit should also include the Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla. the Touchet Valley Golf Course in Dayton, the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, and Ritzville's own Ritzville Municipal Golf Course.
Clarkston Golf & Country Club

At 18 holes and playing as long as 6,683 yards, Clarkston Golf and Country Club is an ideal way to spend an afternoon on your stay in Clarkston or nearby Dayton. Over the years, the Clarkston Golf and Country Club has hosted two Pac-12 Golf Championships, a number of PNGA Championships, and the 2010 PNGA Women's Amateur and Mid-Amateur tournaments.
Colfax Golf Course
Visit the city of Colfax on your next trip into eastern Washington and shoot for par at the Colfax Golf Course. Connected to the Colfax Golf Course & Country Club, the course is nine holes and open to the public. You'll find it nestled in between McDonald Park and Colfax Little League Park.
Play through for a quick nine holes before lunch, or double back around for the full 18 – Colfax Golf Course is open throughout the year, barring any weather restrictions, of course. You can prep before your round at the Colfax Golf Practice Facilities, and be sure to celebrate you hole-in-one (or shooting under 100) at the Colfax Golf Club Bar after your round.
Indian Canyon Golf Course
Find your way to the Indian Canyon Golf Course on your next visit to Spokane. Just west of downtown and easily accessed from Highway 395, A top golf destination in eastern Washington, Indian Canyon Golf Course offers 18 luxurious holes.
Golfers also enjoy junior rates – if you're traveling with the family. Opened to the public in 1935, the Indian Canyon Golf Course is 6,255 yards, and has hosted a number of top tournaments. The course at Indian Canyon is open daily – however, it is recommended you reserve your tee-time for any weekend golf at least eight days in advance.
Ritzville Municipal Golf Course
As you embark on your next trip into eastern Washington, be sure to pack your golf clubs as you'll no doubt want to check out the Ritzville Municipal Golf Course. Found in the charming city of Ritzville, this golf course yields nine of the most stunning and well-maintained holes in all of eastern Washington.
Open to the public, the Ritzville Municipal Golf Course is a top executive style course to choose – play it once for a brief, pre-lunch experience, or double up and get the full 18-hole experience; it's the beauty of playing an executive course. The course opened in 1943 and features a 36.4 course rating.
Sun Willows Golf Club
Designed by Robert Muir Graves, the Sun Willows Golf Course is a prime example of top-notch golf in eastern Washington. Plan a trip to Pasco and book a tee time at Sun Willows Golf Course – 18 holes and open to the public. With a total of 32 bunkers, and a distance of 6,715 yards from the back tees, the course does present challenges – but is no doubt fun for all.
In 2012, Sun Willows Golf Course was rated as the 10th best in the state by the Western Golf Alliance. There is a Men's and Women's club at Sun Willows Golf Course, but the course is also always open to the public. Sun Willows Golf Course is a popular destination for Pasco residents, and it was established in 1960.
Touchet Valley Golf Course
When you travel through Washington with your golf clubs, make sure you head east and find Dayton. Once there, as after you've settled into the charming city, check out the Touchet Valley Golf Course. Another of the fantastic executive style golf courses in the state, Touchet Valley Golf Course is not far from downtown Dayton.
Whether you play just the nine holes at Touchet Valley Golf Course, or double up and play a full 18, you'll no doubt be challenged by the open, yet tree-lined fairways. With a course rating of 35.5 – and a slope rating of 122 – even the most veteran golfer will find a few challenges at Touchet Valley Golf Course.

A premier example of golf in eastern Washington, the Wine Valley Golf Club was designed by Dan Hixson, and plays up to 7,360 yards from the championship tees. Each year, the Wine Valley Golf Club hosts several tournaments: the Walla Walla Firefighters Association Golf Tournament, the Realtors 10th Annual Care & Share Golf Tournament, and the Chamber Business Classic Golf Tournament.
