Parkville MO, northeast of the city, offers a scenic trail with waterfall views, a challenging climb, and a great picnic spot with tables at top of the climb so the whole family can enjoy lunch and the view together. The park offers multiple hiking trails with some very challenging water crossings. Shawnee Mission Park is another gem of the KC park system offering 7+ miles of multi-use hiking, biking, and equestrian trails.

You won’t be disappointed if you come in for a KC Royals baseball game or KC Chiefs football game, plan to enjoy the whole weekend.
Stop at the official Harley Davidson Motorcycle Factory Tour in KCMO where the Softail, Sportster, and Street lines are manufactured. Pair it with some KC BBQ from the likes of Joe’s KC BBQ in Fairway to Jack Stack Barbecue in Martin City to Q39 in Westport.
Check out the Nelson Atkins Art Museum, home to a traditional art collection unique exhibits. The contemporary art museum is next door – the Kemper Museum of Art. Close by is another display of artistic passion – The Kemper Memorial Gardens – all awash in flesh blooming plantings during the summer.
On Friday nights, both museums are open for mingling. The adjacent Country Club Plaza offers many eclectic places to eat, shopping options, and art galleries. The Power & Light District is in close proximity to continue the party on into the night with more dining and nightclubs to please any tastes.
