Art lovers should head directly to The Wichita Art Museum, reportedly the largest in the state. With a focus on the work of American artists, visitors can see work by Edward Hopper, Mary Cassat,t and Dale Chihuly, among many others. The Ulrich Museum of Art on the campus of Wichita State University (WSU) is a popular draw, hosting more than 6,000 pieces of contemporary and modern artwork. Travelers can also see performances at Music Theatre Wichita, the Wichita Grand Opera, and the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, along with the latest Broadway touring shows.
Sports fans have a lot to explore when they visit Wichita. At the college level, the WSU Shockers bring exciting men’s and women’s basketball to Charles Koch Arena.
