Art in North Dakota

The Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo is where you’ll find some pieces from famous artists including Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. This site is also home to the Rolling Plains Art Gallery, a traveling gallery with a rotation of regional artwork and art showcases.
James Memorial Art Center
There are many ways to explore and experience the deep and lustrous history of North Dakota. On your next visit to Williston, be sure to see and tour the James Memorial Art Center, one of the premier historical destinations in the state. You can find the JMAC off of 6th Street and 1st Avenue in downtown Williston.
Opened in 1911, the James Memorial Art Center celebrates local culture and heritage with a number of unique art displays. Throughout the year, you can see permanent and temporary art installations at the JMAC. Each year, during the third weekend in September, the JMAC produces the Art Festival in Recreation Park.
