Raging Rivers Waterpark is known for its twin speed slides and is a popular destination during North Dakota’s summer season. The slides stand six stories high and the park offers something for all ages. Kids can splash around in the Kiddie Pool and visitors of all ages can enjoy floating down the Lazy River. The waterpark is in Mandan off I-94 and within easy reach of several other attractions and family friendly restaurants.

Enjoy some family friendly fun at Thunder Road Family Park in Fargo. The park has been around since 2001 and is only open from May through September and on weekends in October and November because of the weather. This is the place to enjoy some mini golfing, go-karting, and bumper car rides. It’s also home to a six-stall batting cage and a laser tag arena so you’ll never run out of fun things to do.

If you’re traveling with kids, spend the day at Lucy’s Amusement Park in Minot. The park features children’s rides and has its own miniature golf course for endless hours of play time. It’s a family friendly destination that’s also within a short drive of several Minot museums and other attractions.

Thunder Road in Fargo is a perfect place to escape to when you have a few hours to spare. The park features seasonal activities, including go-karting and miniature golf. It also has a laser tag arena, so you can stay and play for a few hours.

When you’re in Bismarck, don’t miss the chance to enjoy some rides and games at SuperSlide Amusement Park. The park features a wide variety of slides, games and fun activities for kids of all ages.

Another waterpark destination that attracts visitors and locals alike is Splasher’s of the South Seas in Grand Forks. It’s tucked inside the Canada Inns Destination Center and is now the largest indoor waterpark in North Dakota. This is another destination that has a lazy river, separate kids play area, and arcade games. The whole family can spend time in the activity pools and float down the lazy river. The park is right next to the Great Barrier Reef Concession Stand and an arcade center where everyone can play to earn rewards.

Superslide Amusement Park in Bismarck is located right next to the Dakota Zoo, so you can split up your day to enjoy both attractions. Kids will enjoy playing in the bouncy house, miniature golfing, or hopping on the roller coaster. It’s a fun place for younger kids and you can also enjoy activities like water balloon games and go karting to change things up.

If you’re ready for a new experience and want to enjoy some indoor activities on a cooler day in Fargo, head to Sky Zone Trampoline Park. This park features several trampolines and freestyle bouncing and dodgeball programs. Everyone can practice their jumps without fear in the Foam Zone that’s designed to provide soft landings. Play a round of dodgeball on the trampoline dodgeball court or show off your basketball moves on a trampoline with the Skyslam. Those who want to enjoy the thrill of the hunt and spend time in the great outdoors can make their way to the Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge. Located in north central North Dakota, this is where you’ll find miles of prairie land, hills, and wooded rivers. It’s prime hunting grounds and also a great destination to enjoy some wildlife viewing and birdwatching.

Raging Rivers Waterpark

From twin speed slides standing six stories high to the Raging River Rapids to a Lazy River and Kiddie Pool, Raging Rivers Waterpark offers plenty of waterpark fun during the all-to-short North Dakota summer season. The waterpark is located in Mandan off the Bismarck Expressway – or I-194 – at the McKenzie Exit. And be sure to sail down the Black Hole Tube Slide.

Thunder Road Family Fun Park

Open May through September, and weekends in October and November, the Thunder Road Family Fun Park is located in eastern North Dakota in Fargo. Established in 2001, Thunder Road offers mini-golf, bumper cars, go-karts, and more. Thunder Road offers two, 18-hole miniature golf courses, a 1,100-foot go-kart track, a six-stall batting cage, and a 10-car bumper rink. Other amenities include an arcade, laser tag, food, prizes, and more.
