Take The Family On A Colorado Prehistoric Adventure

Begin your Colorado prehistoric adventure at Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison. It is one of the most famous dinosaur fossil locations in the world. Explore Dinosaur Ridge Trail and see verified dinosaur tracks, a quarry of dinosaur bones and unique geologic features in the surrounding area. Dinosaur Discovery Days from May through October offers a variety of outdoor activities on the second Saturday of the month.

Florissant Fossil Bed Monument is located near Pike National Forest, just a short drive from Denver. Take ranger-led tours, see fossil displays, historic exhibits and learn more about the prehistoric creatures that once inhabited Colorado.

The Dinosaur Journey Museum is a part of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Learn more about Colorado dinosaurs through interactive exhibits. Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park, a satellite location of the museum, features additional exhibits on dinosaurs and fossils from the Late Cretaceous period.
