San Isabel National Forest
Established in 1902, the San Isabel National Forest is home to Mount Elbert – the highest peak in Colorado, with 18 additional peaks over 14,000 feet are in the forest.
Encompassing more than one million acres, there are plenty of recreational activities.
Favorites include, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, jeep tours, and refreshing soaks in the local hot springs.
Capture the magnificent views of Mt. Princeton, in the Collegiate Peaks, west of the Arkansas River while in the forest.
