Hunting is available during the winter months when Horseshoe Lake opens for waterfowl season and closes to other water sport activities.

Golfers can enjoy the nine-hole course located within the park, while hikers enjoy the two major trails, Hogback Nature Trail and Cuerno Verde Trail.

Lastly, visitors who wish to learn about the history of the park and its culture, as well as gain additional information on all activities available at Lathrop, should stop by the Visitor’s Center located within the Park.
