Discover the Summer Fairs in Idaho
Is there anything more fun than going to a summer fair? The sounds, sights and smells of the fair stay with you for years, and you can get that back by attending one of the many fairs throughout Idaho, including:
Canyon County Fair
Held in late July, the Canyon County Fair is located in southwestern Idaho in the city of Caldwell. Set at the Canyon County Fairgrounds along Interstate 84, CCF originated in 1887.
Today, the Canyon County Fair features events like country western concerts, fair food, games, rides, and rodeo contests. Kid-friendly events include the Stick Horse Barrel Race, Big Wheel Race, and the Watermelon Eating Contest.
Eastern Idaho State Fair
A late summer event, the annual Eastern Idaho State Fair is held in late August to early September in Blackfoot. Set along Interstate 15 in southeastern Idaho, the EISF features livestock shows, kiddie activities, games and rides, and food vendors as far as the eye can see.
Originating as a livestock show in 1902, EISF now features concerts with major country music headliners, the McDonald's Kiddieland Day, and rodeo events like the Gem State Classic Pro Rodeo and the Bull Riding Championships.
Jerome County Fair
Held annually in August, the Jerome County Fair & Rodeo occurs in Jerome in southern Idaho. Found easily along Interstate 84 at the Jerome County Fairgrounds, this five-day event was established in 1920.
Today, the Jerome County Fair features big concerts, a PRCA rodeo, and your usual fair finds like games, food, rides, and performances. Don’t miss the McMillan Family Trick Riders, livestock shows, a magic show, and more.
