Targhee National Forest
Enjoy a day of outdoor exploration in Idaho. The Targhee National Forest encompasses over 3 million acres just north of Driggs to the eastern border of Idaho, into Wyoming, Montana and Utah.
Visitors to the park will find plenty of recreational fun, including hiking, hang gliding, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting, geo caching, fishing, climbing and caving.
With so much to do and explore, be sure to schedule enough time. The rugged mountains, scenic valleys and rivers are a haven for outdoor adventures.
Bring along your canoe to paddle downstream or a picnic lunch to set up underneath a picnic shelter. Wintertime activities include skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
