Experience Idaho Amusement Park Rides and Thrills
Throughout the Gem State, visitors can find exciting amusement parks, skills courses and waterparks. Whether your goal is to find the fastest, high-intensity wood coaster in Idaho or a “beach entry” pool complex for young children, you will find it minutes from a Best Western hotel in Idaho.
If your travels take you into the Southeast, you won’t want to miss a day at either Lava Hot Springs Indoor Aquatic Center or Portneuf Kiddie Cove. For those hoping to relax after a long day of driving or adventuring, soak in their famed geothermal hot springs. From there, the Indoor Aquatic Center, which is also open all year long, is only a couple of blocks away. The Center has a 25-yard pool with a 1-meter diving board. It also features an AquaClimb Wall. The pool is also attached to Portneuf Kiddie Cove. The Cove has a 10-person natural hot water pool and an indoor “beach entry” kids’ pool, complete with pool slides, toys and spraying fountains.
If you are in the mood for classic fair games, treats and rides, the Country Carnival will beckon. Wave pool fans flow towards Boulder Beach Water Park. From the wave pool to the beach to lazy river rafting and waterslides, this is a terrific place for watery fun for the whole family.
From there, head over to Raptor Reef. This indoor water park beckons fans to try their amazingly fast slides and riotous wave pool, as well as their relaxing indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi. Young children won’t want to leave the lagoon’s play park, which features water guns, slides, and tipping buckets.

Roaring Springs Water Park
An ideal destination during any summer visit to Idaho, Roaring Springs Water Park is a fun summer-time water park full of twists, turns and splashes. Located southwest of Boise, the park has a wonderful variety of activities to keep you cool.
Kids love to slide down Kiddie Kowabunga and splash in the Little Splash Mountain Kiddie Play Area. Adults love to blast down Viper's Vortex, Rattlesnake Rapids and Pipeline Mines.
The Mammoth Canyon Family Raft Ride will keep you laughing as you slide down to the bottom and the Endless River is a great way to relax in the sun. Practice your best surfing moves in the White Water Bay Wave Pool, known as "the best surf" in Idaho.
The Avalanche is a truly unique slide that resembles a snowy half-pipe. Hold on to our raft! Everyone loves the Racing Ridge that tops off at 350 feet.
Wahooz Family Fun Zone
Located right next door to Roaring Springs are Pinz Bowling Center and the Wahooz Family Fun Zone. Wahooz has recently undergone a major renovation to its indoor adventure park. The swinging, tilting and lifting Twister ride, the Sky Trail Ropes Course, Clip ‘n’ Climb and the Bumper Cars, and the Laser Maze are among the newest attractions. The XD Dark Ride is also getting enthusiastic notices. It’s a 7D movie experience with full motion. Fight zombies or blast robots on an 8-seater experience – said to be the first of its kind in the region.
The Cable Factory
Located in Wakeside Lake in Rexburg lives The Cable Factory, the first wakeboard cable park in the East. Show off your wakeboarding skills, or learn new ones through their beginner and advanced cable classes. It’s one of the best ways to learn because they employ a cutting-edge system. If you are already a pro, take to the ramps and rails that resemble those on challenging snowboarding runs. When you need to relax, the Cable Factory beach will welcome you.
Triple Play Family Fun Park
Triple Play Family Fun Park in Hayden, Idaho promises adventure and excitement. Thrill-seekers can take to the 32-foot ropes course covers a three-level platform (safety harnesses and supports are all in place before you go exploring 25 feet up. There is also a smaller version for younger children. After the ropes, you can head to the bumper cars, throw strikes on their bowling lanes or attempt a hole-in-one on Triple Play’s themed miniature golf courses.
Do you love laser tag? Triple Play’s massive, two-level arena filled with fog and adrenaline-rush music will test your senses. Meanwhile, your reflexes will get a work-out on their Go Karts and Bumper Boats. Arcade games, a climbing wall and a “sluice” for mock-gemstone sifting are also ready to grab your attention.
Silverwood Theme Park
The city of Athol in Idaho yield full days of adventure at Silverwood Theme Park. Located north of Coeur D'Alene, this theme park is a premier attraction in the Gem State. With 65 rides, attractions and shows, there is plenty of excitement for everyone.
