Yellowstone National Park
Experience A Place Like Nowhere Else On Earth!
The world’s first national park is still one of its most beautiful. Yellowstone National Park is shared by Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana and offers four seasons of adventure and intrigue.
This 2.2-million acre park was dedicated in 1872, and today its majesty remains unchanged. Stand transfixed in front of Old Faithful, which erupts with steaming water 106 feet into the air. But Old Faithful is not the only show here – other iconic geysers in the park include Steamboat Geyser – known as the largest in the world – plus Castle Geyser, Beehive Geyser, and Lion Geyser. There are also mud volcanoes and the incredible Fountain Paint Pot. Near the north entrance to the park, Mammoth Hot Springs is a singular and beautiful sight to behold.
There’s more than geothermal sights here. The park is crawling with wildlife such as American bison, gray wolves, Canadian lynx, and grizzly bears. You can also see coyotes, black bears, mountain goats, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, and cougars.
Trails crisscross the park, affording both long-distance challenges and wheelchair-accessible trips on smooth boardwalks. Great day hikes include Fairy Falls, Mystic Falls, Mount Washburn, and Observation Point. Don’t miss the classic view of Upper Yellowstone Falls!
