Typically lasting 11-12 days, the Platte County Fair & Rodeo is an old fashion fair, with exhibits, livestock, contests, games, and, of course, a wide variety of food vendors.

The fair takes place at the Platte County 4-H Fair Grounds in downtown Wheatland. Drive in from Cheyenne or Lusk and enjoy a day at the fair.

Sheridan WYO Rodeo

Established in 1931, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo is an annual festival held in Sheridan in northern Wyoming. Found at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds, the PRCA and WPRA rodeo performances are held in mid July. The following WYO Rodeo Week offers events like a parade, carnival, pancake breakfast, and pow-wow. Rodeo Week also features the Boot Kick-off, Chris LeDoux Memorial Golf Tournament, WYO Rodeo Royalty Competition, and country music concerts.
