Arkansas has an outstanding collection of competitive college athletics. Spread throughout Little Rock, the Delta Region, and central and southern Arkansas, the Natural State boasts four Division I colleges, fielding exciting sporting events year-round.

In the northern town of Fayetteville, the University of Arkansas Razorbacks are tearing through the opposition in the ultra-competitive Southeastern Conference (SEC). They field 19 top-notch varsity teams, including football, baseball, basketball, and others.

Just south of Razorback nation, traveling sports fans will find the town of Pine Bluff, home of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Golden Lions trot out 14 varsity teams, including men and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball, making their name in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

The action continues in Little Rock, where the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans rock the competition in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans field 15 maroon, silver, and black varsity teams. Fans from neighboring regions like Benton, Hot Springs, and Arkadelphia continually make the short journey to cheer on the Trojans.

Head back up north to the town of Jonesboro – home of the Arkansas State University Red Wolves. The Red Wolves field 16 varsity teams, including football, basketball, and baseball, competing also in the Sun Belt Conference.
