Outdoor Florida Recreation
Sunshine State Lakes, Hikes, Golf & More. For your outdoor adventures, Florida is a sterling choice – at any time of year. With a wealth of seaside cities offering plenty of saltwater adventure, and a host of inland cities that yield breathtaking scenery, plenty of freshwater lakes for fishing and boating, and countless golf courses, you won’t be disappointed in Florida.
Make your way to Sarasota and the Gulf Coast, where you and the family will plan trips tp the Everglades Wonder Gardens, home to live otter shows and huge pit of Alligators. Later, enjoy some time at Manatee Park, or the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.
In Tampa and the west-central area of Florida, be sure to experience the fun of horseback riding at Lady Hawk Farm. Golfers strike at a chance to play 18 holes at the Otter Creek Course.
Head into northeast Florida and check out Gainesville. A charming city, Gainesville offers you a chance to check out Newnans Lake, and Split Rock Conservation Area.
Venture into the Keys in south Florida. Check out hotspots like Miami, Boca Raton, and Clewiston – all full of charm, and plenty of outdoor fun. Try and set the course record at the Clewiston Golf Course, or do some hiking at the Castellow Hammock Park and Deering Estate at Cutler.
Tallahassee and the Panhandle have a wealth of outdoor activity, as well. In the northwestern region of the Sunshine State be sure to visit cities like Pensacola and Apalachicola and make a lifetime of memories.
More centrally located is Orlando and the space coast. If NASA’s preparing for a launch and you’re in the area, be sure to visit Space View Park, a short drive from Titusville, and Edgewater.
