Also known as Surf City, Huntington Beach offers a wealth of opportunities to enjoy a sun and sand year round. All you have to do to enjoy it all is cruise along the Pacific Coast Highway and you’ll find several unique attractions and sites to explore along the way.
Huntington Beach is one of the few Southern California beaches that’s well-suited for families, a relaxing destination where you can spend your days surfing, sunbathing, and enjoying some great food at local restaurants. It’s home to the International Surfing Museum where you can see famous surfboards and memorabilia dedicated to some of the world’s top surfers. It’s a seaside city with a rich history and you can head further inland to enjoy other outdoor activities.
This beach is one of the best places to truly enjoy the California lifestyle and is one of the cleanest and safest beaches in the state. Sand volleyball is a popular activity here and it’s also a great destination to settle down and watch the sunset.
The City of Huntington Beach is about 35 miles south of Los Angeles and 90 miles north of San Diego. Spend some time exploring the city to see the wildlife preserve, head off on a horseback ride on the equestrian trails, visit public parks, or head off on an eight-mile bike ride. Many people flock here to watch the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball tournament and U.S. Open of Surfing events.
This beach is also within easy reach of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa so you can look forward to even more water activities or fun in the sun.
