The Museum District
You can find Frankfurt's Museum District (Museumsufer) on the south side of the River Main. It is a first-rate collection of separate museums and many of them have an international standing, For example the Museum of World Cultures and the German Architecture Museum.
Shopping
The main shopping area is located between Kostablerwache and Hauptwache. This pedestrian area is called “Zeil” and you can find a variety of shops there. If you want to spend some more money there are a lot of luxury stores at the Goethe street nearby the “Zeil”.
Events in the summer

Starting from May until September there are a lot of street events in Frankfurt like the Museumsuferfest or the Schweizerstraßen Fest, where people from everywhere come together to enjoy international food and drinks.

They area around the main station in Frankfurt is called the “Bahnhofsviertel” and this area developed a lot during the last few years. In the early days it hasn´t had the best reputation but nowadays it is more and more developing into a district filled with bars und young people of different ethnics.

The Römerberg is probably one of the most famous places in Frankfurt. Beside the fact that the the beautiful and old town halls are located here it’s the place where people from Frankfurt come together. Markets, festivals and events are taking place here and if there is none while you are around just enjoy the view of the frame houses which is really a contrast to the high-rise buildings.
