Experience the Beauty of Haleakala National Park
Nestled along the southeastern side of Maui, Haleakala National Park is a scenic 30,000-acre park with stunning features, like the Haleakala Volcano and the coastal beauty of Kipahulu.
Kick off your experience at one of the three visitor’s centers - the Haleakala Visitor Center, Kipahulu Visitor Center, and Park Headquarters. From there, you can view the level of hiking, biking, or discovery trails you want to take.
Take a drive to the summit and enjoy a host of landmarks along the way, including the Kalahaku and Lelewi Overlooks. As you begin exploring, you will discover over 30 miles of hiking trails that will take you down into the valleys of the park. Along these trails you will experience up-close-and-personal views of the Haleakala Crater.
If you are looking for a lush Hawaiian adventure, the Kipahulu District is the perfect destination. Three trails – the Kahakai, Kuloa Point, or Pipwai – will take you through a thick, dense forest, with freshwater streams, ocean views, and a stop at Waimoku Falls.
