Botanic Gardens
Cheyenne Botanic Gardens cover nine acres at Lions Park. Founded in 1977, the 6800-square foot conservatory features three greenhouses filled with tropical plants, vegetables, herbs, cacti and bedding plants. The outside gardens offer a variety of perennials, wildflowers, roses, annuals, and succulents. Visit specialty gardens, the Garden Labyrinth and a wetlands display. The gardens are open from dawn to dusk daily and admission is free.
Golf
Airport Golf Club in Cheyenne is home to the Wyoming Open professional golf tournament. The tree-lined, 18-hole course offers scenic views of parkland and it is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, so you may spot a variety of birds during the course of play. Discounted rates are offered after 5pm and in winter. Kingham Prairie View Golf Course in eastern Cheyenne is a nine-hole course perfect for golfers looking to play a quick round.
