Constructed in the spring of 1864, Andersonville NHS encompasses 514 acres, the site is operated by the National Park Service. A U.S. National Historic Site found on the National Register of Historic Places, Andersonville offers attractions like the National Prisoner of War Museum, and the Andersonville National Cemetery.
