Located within the UNESCO-listed fjord landscape, the hotel combines a long tradition of hospitality with modern facilities and memorable experiences throughout the year.

Originally built in wood with inspiration from dragon and Swiss-style architecture, the hotel has been expanded and carefully developed over generations by the Mjelva family, who continue to run the hotel today. Hotel Union Geiranger now offers 197 rooms and suites, several restaurants and bars, extensive conference facilities, and a wide range of activities for both relaxation and adventure.

At the heart of the hotel is the inviting Union Spa, where guests can unwind by the fireplace, enjoy wellness treatments, and relax in indoor and outdoor swimming pools overlooking the dramatic surroundings. In Restaurant Fjorden, the popular evening buffet showcases seasonal dishes prepared from scratch by the hotel’s chefs, followed by an impressive dessert table.
