Wheeling National Heritage Area
Located in northern West Virginia, the Wheeling National Heritage Area was established to help maintain the proud industrial heritage in the town of Wheeling. Wheeling can be found just a short drive northwest of Morgantown along the Ohio River.
Wheeling guests are encouraged to get a sense of Wheeling’s iconic history by embarking on the Civil War Walking Tour – visiting over 20 historic buildings and homes. One of the most prized stops along the tour is the La Belle Nail Plant, once of the pride of Wheeling.
