Grand Central Station
First opened in 1871, Grand Central Station is an iconic train station at the intersections 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in metro New York City.
Officially named Grand Central Terminal, the complex services the Harlem Line, Hudson Line, New Haven Line, New Canaan Branch, and the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad.
Visitors to the terminal revel in its famous Main Concourse – complete with its impressive ceiling designed by Paul César Helleu – and attractions like the Hercules, Minerva and Mercury statuary at the 42nd Street façade.
The Dining Concourse accommodates travelers with lounge area seating and dining options including the Oyster Bar, Grand Central’s oldest business.
