Batam – Enjoy Endless Fun in Indonesia’s Island of Attractions

Nestled in Indonesia’s Riau Islands, with Sumatra to the south and Singapore to the north, Batam is at the crossroads of Southeast Asia. A fast 40-minute ferry ride from Singapore or a quick flight from Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur, this is a dynamic destination that allows visitors to unwind and enjoy a wide range of activities and attractions in an equatorial climate. Active travelers can play golf at a choice of courses, or enjoy exhilarating outdoor adventures such as wake-boarding, jet skiing and all-terrain vehicle driving. Alternatively, guests can simply unwind on sun-kissed sandy beaches, enjoy a soothing massage at the island’s spas, or head offshore to explore Batam’s stunning seascape. A short distance off the coast, Ranoh Island promises the perfect blend of white sandy beaches, crystal clear seas and colorful coral reefs – ideal for swimming, snorkelling and water sports. Back on dry land, visitors can enjoy exceptional retail therapy at a series of shopping malls, make cultural discoveries at temples, villages and markets, or savor local cuisine at a choice of restaurants. With so many things to see and do, Batam is an outstanding option for every type of traveler.

Barelang Bridge

An iconic landmark in Batam, Barelang Bridge represents the traditional and modern faces of this emerging destination. This is not a single bridge however, it is a chain of six bridges connecting the Riau Islands, each of which has been designed in a different style. The 642-meter Tengku Fisabililah Bridge is the longest and resembles San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge; the 420-meter Nara Singa Bridge and 365-meter Setoko-Rempang Bridge are both cantilever bridges, while the 270-meter Ali Haji Bridge is a girder bridge, and the 385-meter Rempang-Galang Bridge is arched. The sixth and smallest is the 180-meter Raja Kecil Bridge. These structures allow visitors to access and experience many of Batam idyllic islands, while also being attractions in their own right.

Nongsa Beach and Coast

Nongsa Coast and Beach showcase the tropical charm of Batam. One of the island’s most popular leisure destinations, this stunning stretch of shore is blessed with a soft, sandy shoreline and beautiful sunsets. The underwater scenery is also spectacular and snorkelers will be rewarded with plenty of opportunities to see colourful marine life. Located on the northeast coast of Batam, this region is not only a beach destination; visitors can also discover traditional local villages, play golf on world-class courses, savor fresh seafood or pick up authentic souvenirs. One of the best ways to explore this beautiful part of Batam is on two wheels, with plenty of cycle paths.

Mega Wisata Ocarina Batam

Mega Wisata Ocarina Batam is a large theme park that welcomes many local families and visitors. Covering 40 hectares, this impressive attraction comprises a wide range of swimming pools, water features and other rides, including a large Ferris wheel, flying fox, children’s play zone, 3D movie theater, trampoline and more!
